How to get to the Point Lonsdale Guest House
By Car - Melways reference 235 G10
Point Lonsdale is a 90 minute drive from Melbourne and 20 minutes from
Geelong. You'll need to head west out of Melbourne over the Westgate Bridge
and along the Princes Freeway to Geelong. From Geelong, simply follow the
green signs on the Bellarine Highway towards Queenscliff.
If you're traveling from other directions, there's a great network of highways linking regional centres to Geelong and various other points along the Great Ocean Road. The western gateway to the region is at Nelson, near the South Australian border. Excellent roads connect with the South Australian capital of Adelaide, 490km away.
By Bus
McHarry's operate buses from Geelong Station to the main towns on the Bellarine Peninsular including Barwon Heads, Ocean Grove, Drysdale, Queenscliff and, of course, Point Lonsdale.
By Train
Trains to Geelong leave from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne on an
hourly basis. At Geelong Station catch a McHarry's bus to Point Lonsdale.
By Ferry
The Queenscliff-Sorrento car and pedestrian ferry links the Mornington Peninsular and the Bellarine Peninsular with a 40 minute service. Ferries depart Sorrento and Queenscliff on the hour between 7am and 7pm. Dolphin sightings are common. The Point Lonsdale Guest House is a 6 or 7 minute drive from the Queenscliff ferry terminal.

By Air
The closest airport is Avalon, about a 45 minute drive from the Point
Lonsdale Guest House. An airport shuttle bus to Geelong will connect you
with a McHarry's bus to Point Lonsdale.
Avalon Airport
Shuttle on (03) 52 788 788 provide a door-to-door service. You will
also find the major car rental companies represented at the Airport.
Melbourne Airport at Tullamarine is approximately 90 minutes from the Guest House.
