Wineries
As any parochial Victorian will say, and many other Australians reluctantly
agree, wines produced in Victoria are among the finest in the country and
are of equal quality, flavor and aroma to many high profile wines produced
interstate.
Wines have been produced on the Bellarine area since 1879 with a climate
and soil ensuring the finest quality grapes are produced to satisfy any
palate. It is one of the few regions where wineries are family owned and
operated, producing premium, estate grown, bottled wine.
Some Bellarine wineries have spectacular ocean views, and many offer fine
dining to their visitors as they sample their way through the wine list.
The Bellarine wineries make up part of the greater Geelong Wine Route, a
well signposted path to help you imbibe in the local delights.
Some of the notable local wines are produced by the likes of:
Scotchman's Hill, Oakdene, Leura Park, Curlewis, Jack Rabbit and Bellarine Estate
