Great seaside location
Location, location, location!
Situated on a spacious property on the main road in the tiny seaside
village of Point Lonsdale the Guest House is within easy walking distance
of shops, safe swimming beach, pounding surf beach, fisherman's pier,
intriguing rock pools and the famous lighthouse.
The iconic beacon stands proudly on the western headland of Port Phillip
Bay presiding over the busy shipping channel through the infamously
treacherous stretch of water known as "The Rip".
Point Lonsdale is on the tip of the Bellarine Peninsula 30 kilometres (30
minutes' drive) from the regional city of Geelong and 105 kilometres (90
minutes' drive) from Victoria's capital, Melbourne.
On a 40-minute drive to the surfing "hotspot' of Torquay, on the
threshold of the world renowned Great Ocean Road, you will drive through
the popular beach and holiday destinations of Ocean Grove and Barwon
Heads.
Only 5 kilometres in the opposite direction lies the historic "jewel"
and our closest neighbouring township of Queenscliff from where a
40-minute car and pedestrian ferry ride to Sorrento links the Bellarine
and Mornington Peninsulas.
