The "front beach" is a popular surf beach for experienced swimmers and is patrolled, in season, by the Point Lonsdale Surf Lifesaving Club. Reefs at the foot of the lighthouse are ideal for rock pool exploration during low tide.

Bellarine Peninsula Railway - Steam Train
The Bellarine Railway is operated and maintained by the dedicated volunteers of the Geelong Steam Preservation Society, a not-for-profit organisation founded in 1970. Point Lonsdale Lighthouse
The lighthouse provides spectacular panoramic views of the region, taking in the surrounding Point Lonsdale area, Queenscliff, Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads and Point Nepean.
