The Blues Train
For something decidedly different and entirely enjoyable, Queenscliff's legendary Blues Train is on of Victoria's most spectacular entertainment and dining experiences.
It is a unique experience that combines four of Australia's best live acts and the beautiful scenery of the Bellarine Peninsula on the Drysdale Railway line while aboard a real moving vintage steam train. I's a mini-festival in one night and a progressive party you'll never forget.
As the historic train journeys between the Queenscliff Railway Station and Drysdale, it rocks in more ways than one. Enjoy the scenic ride through the rolling hills of the Bellarine Peninsula with toe tapping entertainment, a cool drink and a good laugh
Recently a Victorian Government initiative sought to identify the top 100 tourism attractions in the State. The Blues Train came in a very creditable 6th!
The vintage train carries a capacity of 200 revellers every time it trundles its way out of Queenscliff Station on a Saturday night. The old music rattler makes three stops on its three hour plus round trip through Drysdale. Different musicians ride in each of the four carriages and the passengers are rotated at each stop.
Tickets to ride would normally be purchased 3 months in advance.
