Point Lonsdale is a 90 minute drive from Melbourne and 20 minutes from
Geelong. You'll need to head west out of Melbourne over the Westgate
Bridge and along the Princes Freeway to Geelong. From Geelong, simply
follow the green signs on the Bellarine Highway towards Queenscliff.
If you're traveling from other directions, there's a great network of
highways linking regional centres to Geelong and various other points
along the Great Ocean Road. The western gateway to the region is at
Nelson, near the South Australian border. Excellent roads connect with
the South Australian capital of Adelaide, 490km away.
By Bus - Route 56
buses from Geelong Station to the main towns on the Bellarine Peninsular
including Barwon Heads, Ocean Grove, Drysdale, Queenscliff and, of
course, Point Lonsdale.
Trains to Geelong leave from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne on an
hourly basis. Then catch the Mc Harrys Bus Route 56 (Queenscliff) to

The Queenscliff-Sorrento car and pedestrian ferry links the Mornington
Peninsular and the Bellarine Peninsular with a 40 minute service. Ferries
depart Sorrento and Queenscliff on the hour between 7am and 7pm. Dolphin
sightings are common. The Point Lonsdale Guest House is a 6 or 7 minute
drive from the Queenscliff ferry terminal.
